Port Moody install patterns
Inlet-facing waterfront residential
Burrard Inlet exposure produces sustained afternoon wind that inland Tri-Cities venues don’t see. Sustained-wind-rated install hardware and commercial-grade LED strands are the default; sidewall lighting on porches handles wind cleanly through the season. Most waterfront installs run the Classic or Premium package.
Heritage Woods elevation
Higher-elevation residential with afternoon wind patterns that lower Moody Centre doesn’t share. Driveway grade access during November narrows earlier than valley-floor residential — we book mountain installs first when peak season arrives. Most properties run the Classic package given the linear footage of mid-to-large rooflines.
Brewery district commercial
Restaurants, tasting rooms, and retail exteriors along Brewers Row and the Inlet-side commercial strip. Commercial installs need building-management coordination on access; we book after-5pm or weekend install timing to avoid disrupting tenants. Inlet wind funnels directly through the brewery district — sustained-wind-rated patio-area lighting is the standard.
Rocky Point and Moody Centre residential
Mid-density residential closer to the waterfront amenity zone. Most run the Starter or Classic package — warm-white C9 along the main roofline with optional tree accents. Less wind exposure than direct waterfront properties, so standard install hardware works.
Free off-season storage and the year-2 math
Year one, you pay for design, install, lights, takedown, and storage as a fixed package. Year two, the math gets meaningfully better — your strands are already in our warehouse. For Inlet waterfront and Heritage Woods installs especially, the sustained-wind-rated commercial-grade LEDs are a significant year-one cost; year-2 pricing typically drops 20–30% because those materials are already paid for.
A typical Port Moody waterfront install
For an Inlet-facing two-storey home with rooflines, two front-yard trees, and a covered porch, a typical Classic package install looks like:
- ~150 linear feet of warm-white C9 LED along the main and gable rooflines (sustained-wind-rated hardware)
- ~50 linear feet of porch wrap and column accent
- ~80 linear feet of mini-lights wrapping front-yard trees (sheltered side)
- ~30 linear feet of pathway lights along the front walk
- Wind-rated clip-style attachment, WCB-covered crew
- One on-site design walk-through, season-long maintenance, January takedown, free storage
