North Shore install patterns
Steep North Shore residential
Most North Van homes sit on steeper roof pitches than urban Vancouver. Our crew is certified for two- and three-storey installs on these pitches; we use commercial-grade clip hardware that holds in sustained wind. Most installs run the Classic or Premium package — warm-white C9 along main and gable rooflines plus tree accents.
Mountain-adjacent and elevation-aware
Properties along Grouse, Mount Seymour, upper Capilano, and Heritage Mountain boundaries get an elevation-aware install plan. Sustained-wind-rated hardware. Commercial-grade LED strands rather than delicate mini-lights on exposed rooflines. We schedule install windows around weather windows — November installs sometimes happen earlier in the month here than in valley-floor residential because mountain weather narrows the safe-install window.
Lonsdale and waterfront residential
Lonsdale-area residential and the waterfront homes along the Burrard Inlet share open-water wind exposure. Sidewall lighting on porches, sustained-wind-rated install on the main rooflines.
Edgemont, Lynn Valley, Deep Cove
Established residential neighborhoods with mature tree cover. Overhead-branch clearance for our install ladder access is a routine variable we measure during the design walk. Most properties run the Classic package given the linear footage of established-suburb rooflines.
Free off-season storage and the year-2 math
Year one, you pay for design, install, lights, takedown, and storage as a fixed package. Year two, the math gets meaningfully better — your strands are already in our warehouse, labeled with your roof’s section map. Most North Van clients see year-2 pricing 15–25% lower than year-1 because the materials are already paid for. For mountain-adjacent installs, the wind-rated commercial-grade LEDs are a significant year-one cost — and they’re already in storage for year two.
A typical North Vancouver residential install
For a steep two-storey Lynn Valley home with rooflines, two large front-yard trees with overhead-branch clearance, and a sloped driveway approach, a typical Classic package install looks like:
- ~150 linear feet of warm-white C9 LED along main and gable rooflines (sustained-wind-rated hardware)
- ~80 linear feet of mini-lights wrapping front-yard trees (sheltered side, branch-clearance confirmed)
- ~30 linear feet of pathway lights along the driveway approach
- Steep-roof clip-style attachment, WCB-covered crew
- One on-site design walk-through, season-long maintenance, January takedown, free storage
