White Rock install patterns
Marine Drive beachfront
Direct Strait of Georgia exposure. Sustained-wind-rated install hardware on every roofline. Commercial-grade LED strands rather than delicate mini-lights. Sidewall lighting on covered porches handles the funnel-effect wind cleanly. Most run the Classic or Premium package given the linear footage.
Semiahmoo bluff and elevated coastal
Bluff exposure adds elevation-driven wind on top of coastal wind. The most-rated install hardware in our kit applies here. We schedule install windows around forecast — bluff installs sometimes happen earlier in the November window before weather narrows safe-install conditions.
Hillside, Centennial Park, and Crescent
Established residential further inland from Marine Drive. Less direct coastal wind exposure but still meaningful afternoon thermal patterns. Standard wind-rated clip hardware on the rooflines; mini-light accents work well in sheltered tree zones. $8.50–$10/ft pricing.
Uptown and South Surrey-border
Mid-density residential with mature trees and standard urban-character rooflines. Most run the Starter or Classic package — warm-white C9 along the main roofline with optional tree accents.
Free off-season storage and the year-2 math
Year one, you pay for design, install, lights, takedown, and storage as a fixed package. Year two, the math gets meaningfully better — your strands are already in our warehouse, labeled with your section map. For Marine Drive and Semiahmoo bluff installs especially, the most-rated commercial-grade LED strands and wind-rated install hardware are significant year-one costs; year-2 pricing typically drops 25–30% because those materials are already paid for.
This is why most White Rock coastal-exposed properties book us multi-year. The math compounds, and the install pattern stays the same crew-to-property fit year over year.
A typical White Rock Marine Drive install
For a Marine Drive beachfront two-storey home with rooflines, covered porch, two front-yard trees in the sheltered side of the property, and a pathway to the beach-side entrance, a typical Premium-package install looks like:
- ~180 linear feet of warm-white C9 LED along main, gable, and porch rooflines (sustained-wind-rated hardware)
- ~50 linear feet of porch wrap and column accent
- ~80 linear feet of mini-lights wrapping front-yard trees (sheltered side)
- ~30 linear feet of pathway lights along the beach-side walk
- Most-rated clip-style attachment in our kit, WCB-covered crew
- One on-site design walk-through, season-long maintenance, January takedown, free storage
