The industrial corridor’s tenant events, corporate retreats, product launches, and seasonal client gatherings are some of our most-frequent Port Kells bookings. Industrial buildings have generous loading-dock access compared to office plazas, but stricter after-hours security protocols. Lead times here are typically shorter than weddings — 2–3 weeks rather than 6–8.
Tynehead Regional Park forest ceremonies
Tynehead’s forest-canopy ceremony zones often skip the marquee entirely; open-air Chiavari rows under the canopy are the most common setup. We pre-walk forest sites we haven’t delivered to, and we don’t promise marquee installs in zones with overhead-branch constraints we haven’t measured.
Cloverdale border residential
The eastern edge of Port Kells transitions into Cloverdale-character residential. Backyard installs here follow the standard Surrey pattern: setbacks, slope, sprinkler clearance, and alley access for the truck.
Per-item pricing
The same on a 192 Street industrial lot as on a Port Kells residential street. Our 5ft round table is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — building access, after-hours timing, anchor — never the per-item rate.
Within-the-hour swaps for active corporate events
The Port Kells proximity is most valuable for actively-running corporate events that need last-minute additions. A 200-attendee tenant event that picks up extra walk-ins can typically have additional cocktail highboys, banquet tables, or chairs on-site within 60 minutes during business hours. We don’t make this promise for cities further out — but Port Kells’ 5–10 minute drive makes it routine.
A 100-attendee Port Kells corporate event rental order
For a 100-attendee Port Kells corporate event — say a Tuesday in October at a 192 Street industrial venue with afternoon presentation seating transitioning into evening cocktail reception — a typical order looks like:
- 100 × white Chiavari chairs (presentation seating, then re-positioned for cocktail-style standing)
- 12 × 5ft round tables for cocktail-hour seating clusters
- 4 × 6ft banquet tables (registration, beverage, food displays)
- 8 × cocktail highboys for the standing reception zones
- Bistro string lighting (where the venue allows)
Setup runs 2–3 hours; teardown 1–2. Both quoted up front. For Tynehead Park ceremonies (typically 60–80 guests, no marquee, chair-only), the order shifts to Chiavari rows under canopy plus a small backyard reception setup elsewhere.
