On the truck for a typical Surrey tent install:
- 20×20 marquee — small ceremony, cocktail hour, or backyard birthday footprint
- 20×40 marquee — 60–80 guests under one tent, or as ceremony + reception split with re-stage
- 20×60 marquee — the workhorse for 100-guest weddings, full ceremony-to-reception coverage
- 30×60 marquee — 150–200 guests, larger acreage and corporate setups
- Sidewalls, bistro lighting, heaters, fans as add-ons on the same quote
- Engineered ground stakes — the default anchor on grass, meaningfully more secure than ballast

Engineered stakes are the default on grass
Stakes hold meaningfully better than ballasted weights on most Surrey backyard surfaces. We confirm sprinkler infrastructure, septic, and underground utilities before staking — never on event day.
Cloverdale and South Surrey acreage scale
Surrey acreage installs have more footprint than urban yards. The tent decision is about guest count and dance-floor inclusion rather than site dimensions. 20×60 covers most 100-guest weddings; 30×60 the 150–200 range.
Park-ceremony permit timing
Bear Creek, Tynehead, Crescent, and Redwood Park ceremonies need City of Surrey permits for tents above their threshold. Permit timing adds 2–3 weeks beyond ours; we recommend pulling both simultaneously.
Per-item pricing
The same in Cloverdale as in central Surrey. Our 20×40 marquee is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — distance, anchor strategy, after-hours timing — never the tent rate.
Weekday corporate and school grad installs
Surrey’s school district and corporate calendar both produce weekday tent installs that don’t compete with our weekend wedding schedule. Grad ceremonies in May and June, sports tournaments at the Cloverdale Rodeo Grounds, and school PAC family events all run on weekday timelines that we can absorb without compressing our Saturday wedding load.
Same-week marquees and warehouse pickup
Two operational features matter for Surrey tent rentals specifically. Same-week marquees are sometimes feasible — 20×20 and 20×40 sizes can come together inside 5–7 days when our installer crew has capacity. Warehouse pickup applies to popup tents (10×10 only); full marquee tents require professional install and aren’t pickup-eligible.
A 100-guest Surrey marquee tent rental order
For a 100-guest Surrey wedding — say a Saturday in August at a Cloverdale acreage with ceremony and reception under one tent — a typical tent-side order looks like:
- 1 × 20×60 marquee tent (covered ceremony + reception in single footprint)
- 4 × tent sidewalls (full enclosure for evening)
- 8 × bistro string-light strands across the marquee ridge
- 1 × tent heater (October–April bookings; optional in summer)
- Engineered ground stakes (default for grass)
Setup runs 4–5 hours for a 20×60 + sidewall configuration; teardown is 2–3 hours. Both quoted up front.
