Most forest-floor zones skip the marquee entirely (chair-only ceremonies); meadow and clearing zones accommodate 20×20 or 20×40 footprints. Lakefront sites need ballast (saturated soil holds stakes poorly), sidewalls year-round (afternoon thermal off the lake is meaningful), and morning-fog tolerance for early ceremonies — sidewalls help with that too.
Engineered stakes paired with ballast on the leeward corners is the default. We confirm overhead branches, driveway grade, and septic/sprinkler maps for any acreage we haven’t installed at — slope tolerance is 5% on grass with no engineered platform.

Whonnock and Albion’s larger lots accommodate a 20×60 marquee comfortably and many properties have room for two linked 20×40 tents for larger headcounts. Driveway approach measured in hundreds of metres rather than tens; we factor truck-stage distance into the crew-time line. Gate codes and livestock considerations get confirmed during quoting, not on event day.
