On the truck for a typical Maple Ridge install:
- 20×20 marquee — Golden Ears clearing-zone ceremonies, smaller backyard birthdays
- 20×40 marquee — 60–80 guests under one tent
- 20×60 marquee — the workhorse for 100-guest acreage weddings, full ceremony-to-reception coverage
- 30×60 marquee — 150–200 guests, larger Silver Valley and Whonnock setups
- Sidewalls, bistro lighting, heaters, fans as add-ons on the same quote
- Engineered stakes paired with ballast — the default for elevation and lakefront installs

Surface, canopy, and the Maple Ridge anchor strategy

Forest-canopy ceremonies
Golden Ears and the wooded Maple Ridge acreages have overhead-branch constraints that flat urban yards don’t. Most forest-floor zones skip the marquee entirely (chair-only ceremonies); meadow and clearing zones accommodate 20×20 or 20×40 footprints. Our 13’ peak fits most clearings but not all — we measure during the pre-quote walk.
Alouette Lake shoreline installs
Lakefront sites need ballast (saturated soil holds stakes poorly), sidewalls year-round (afternoon thermal off the lake is meaningful), and morning-fog tolerance for early ceremonies — sidewalls help with that too.
Hammond and Silver Valley acreages
Engineered stakes paired with ballast on the leeward corners is the default. We confirm overhead branches, driveway grade, and septic/sprinkler maps for any acreage we haven’t installed at — slope tolerance is 5% on grass with no engineered platform.
Per-item pricing
The same on a Silver Valley acreage as in Hammond. Our 20×40 marquee is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — distance, anchor strategy, surface — never the tent rate.
Whonnock and Albion rural-residential
Whonnock and Albion’s larger lots accommodate a 20×60 marquee comfortably and many properties have room for two linked 20×40 tents for larger headcounts. Driveway approach measured in hundreds of metres rather than tens; we factor truck-stage distance into the crew-time line. Gate codes and livestock considerations get confirmed during quoting, not on event day.
A 100-guest Maple Ridge tent rental order
For a 100-guest Maple Ridge wedding — say a Saturday in August at a Hammond acreage with ceremony and reception under a single tent — a typical tent-side order looks like:
- 1 × 20×60 marquee tent (covered ceremony + reception in single footprint)
- 4 × tent sidewalls (full enclosure for evening)
- 8 × bistro string-light strands across the marquee ridge
- 1 × tent heater (October–April bookings; optional in summer)
- Engineered stakes paired with ballast (default for Maple Ridge acreage grass)
Setup runs 4–5 hours for a 20×60 + sidewall configuration; teardown is 2–3 hours. Both quoted up front. For Golden Ears Provincial Park ceremonies (typically chair-only under canopy, no marquee), the order shifts to ceremony chairs alone.
