What our White Rock tent lineup covers

The same single inventory and crew calendar runs across the entire Lower Mainland. A White Rock tent install gets the same equipment any other city gets — without short-ships, without sub-rentals from another vendor.
On the truck for a typical White Rock install:
- 20×20 marquee — pier-side cocktail hour, supplemental outdoor zone, smaller backyard birthday
- 20×40 marquee — 60–80 guests under one tent (the cap on beach-sand installs)
- 20×60 marquee — the workhorse for 100-guest peninsula weddings, full ceremony-to-reception coverage
- 30×60 marquee — 150–200 guests, larger Semiahmoo acreage setups
- Sidewalls, bistro lighting, heaters, fans as add-ons on the same quote
- Full ballast kits — the default on beach sand and any waterfront site
Pier, beach, peninsula, Uptown hillside — four different anchor strategies. We don’t default to “what worked last weekend.”
White Rock tent install patterns we cover

White Rock Pier and Marine Drive promenade
Tight permit setbacks, constant onshore wind, and city event-coordination. Stakes-free installs (full ballast every leg), sidewalls year-round, marquee size adjusted to fit the specific permit zone.
West Beach and East Beach — sand installs
Beach-sand installs cap at 20×40 given the ballast load required to hold the marquee against the wind. Sand can’t hold stakes; we use full ballast at every leg. Sidewalls are mandatory on any beach install we do — no exceptions.
Semiahmoo Park and peninsula acreage
Grass installs with stakes plus ballast. Larger marquees (20×60, 30×60) are routine on the peninsula’s acreage lots; truck access is rural-road with longer driveways.
Peace Arch Park
Park-permit coordination required; we book the install window during quoting. Standard grass install with stakes plus ballast.
Uptown and Centennial Park area — hillside backyards
Hillside backyard installs need slope-aware anchor strategies — supplemental ballast on the downhill side for steeper grades. We walk the lot during quoting if the slope is significant.
Per-item pricing
The same on the beach as on the peninsula. Our 20×40 marquee is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — anchor strategy, after-hours timing — never the tent rate.
Same-day setup and ceremony-to-reception flips
Many White Rock peninsula weddings run a single-tent ceremony-to-reception flip — same chairs, same marquee handle both phases, with our crew rearranging the layout in 30–45 minutes during the cocktail hour. Our ceremony-to-reception flip playbook covers the layout math.
A 100-guest White Rock tent rental order
For a 100-guest White Rock wedding — say a Saturday in August at a Semiahmoo peninsula acreage with ceremony and reception under a single tent — a typical tent-side order looks like:
- 1 × 20×60 marquee tent (covered ceremony + reception in single footprint)
- 4 × tent sidewalls (full enclosure for evening — recommended at any waterfront site)
- 8 × bistro string-light strands across the marquee ridge
- 1 × tent heater (October–April bookings; optional in summer)
- Engineered ground stakes plus ballast (default for peninsula grass; full ballast on beach sand)
Setup runs 4–5 hours for a 20×60 + sidewall configuration; teardown is 2–3 hours. Both quoted up front. The 50/100/150/200 rental checklist maps the marquee sizing.
