What our North Vancouver chair lineup covers
A North Shore ceremony — water, trees, and clean white seating.
Three chair lines that cover almost every North Vancouver event:
- White Chiavari ($8.50/day) — the wedding-reception standard. Lacquered hardwood frame, ivory cushion, stacks 8 high. Best for indoor and covered-patio receptions, Lonsdale-area restaurants, and any photographed ceremony where the formal frame is the aesthetic priority.
- Fanback folding ($3.25/day) — the workhorse. Steel frame, folds flat, stacks compactly. Right for high-headcount ceremony rows, school events, and budget-conscious bookings.
- Resin Garden ($5.50/day) — the outdoor-resilient pick. Resin frame and seat, more substantial visual than Fanback but more forgiving than Chiavari to weather, damp grass, and forest floor. The right call for Lynn Canyon forest ceremonies, mountain-adjacent bookings, and any October–April outdoor North Van wedding.
The surface chooses the chair before the photograph does. We don’t book Chiavari onto saturated forest floor.
Forest, mountain, waterfront — North Van chair patterns

Forest-floor ceremonies
Lynn Canyon, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, and the wooded zones along the North Shore favour Resin Garden chairs. The forest floor is uneven and the soil holds moisture; Chiavari hardwood doesn’t love either condition.
Mountain-elevation ceremonies
Grouse Mountain and Mount Seymour ceremonies sit higher than they look on a map. Wind exposure is real, and morning dew on the elevated turf affects chair choice. Resin Garden again — and we recommend ballasted weight backup on the chair-side decor (signs, flowers) at any mountain venue.
Waterfront ceremonies
Lonsdale Quay-area weddings and waterfront restaurant patios accept Chiavari fine — the surface is concrete or controlled patio rather than damp grass. Wind exposure here is moderate; sidewall infrastructure isn’t usually needed for chair-only setups.
Per-item pricing
The same on Grouse Mountain as in Edgemont. Our Chiavari chair is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — grade, mountain access, distance — never the per-chair rate.
Mixed forest-and-reception orders
Many North Van weddings combine an outdoor forest or waterfront ceremony with an indoor or covered reception elsewhere — Lonsdale-area restaurants, Capilano-area private homes, Edgemont and Lynn Valley backyards under marquee. The standard mixed order is 100 × Resin Garden for the ceremony rows + 100 × Chiavari at the reception tables. One quote, one delivery, no mixing surcharge.
A 100-guest North Vancouver chair rental order
For a 100-guest North Vancouver wedding — say a Saturday in August with ceremony at Lynn Canyon and reception at a Lynn Valley acreage — a typical chair-side order looks like:
- 100 × Resin Garden chairs (forest-floor ceremony rows under canopy)
- 100 × white Chiavari chairs (reception under marquee at the acreage)
The two-line setup adds a few hundred dollars but gives the photographer cleaner forest-floor frames and the reception a more formal aesthetic. For dry-summer Edgemont backyard weddings, 100 × Chiavari handles both phases with our crew flipping the chairs in the cocktail hour.
