Foothill elevation changes the wind plan
Hatzic, Silverhill, and Cedar Valley properties climb the foothills behind Mission’s town centre. Even modest elevation gain produces afternoon thermal patterns that valley-floor venues don’t see. Engineered stakes paired with ballast on leeward corners is our default for unfamiliar foothill properties.
Fraser River Heritage Park
The park’s riverfront ceremony zones and pavilion areas are some of Mission’s most-booked sites. River-adjacent installs need ballast (saturated soil holds stakes poorly), sidewalls year-round, and a marquee size adjusted for evening enclosure.
Westminster Abbey-area setups
The Benedictine monastery’s grounds and the surrounding foothill properties have a contemplative character that most Mission couples want to preserve in the rental setup — smaller-scale, lower-profile installs without aggressive lighting or a dance floor’s visual footprint. Many Abbey-area weddings stay under 80 guests.
Per-item pricing
The same on a Hatzic foothill as in Mission town centre. Our 5ft round table is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — elevation, river anchor, distance — never the per-item rate.
Mission Raceway and community-event scale
Mission Raceway Park brings a different operational rhythm — motorsport events, charity functions, and community gatherings that often need 200+ Fanback folding chairs and 25+ banquet tables, no marquee. These setups ship on one truck and stage in 3–4 hours. Lead times here are typically 3–4 weeks rather than the 6–8 we recommend for peak-season weddings; community organizers usually have approved-vendor lists and faster procurement cycles.
A 100-guest Mission wedding rental order
For a 100-guest Mission wedding — say a Saturday in August at a Hatzic foothill acreage with ceremony and reception running outdoors and the Coast Mountains in the photo backdrop — a typical order looks like:
- 1 × 20×60 marquee tent with sidewalls (covered ceremony + reception in single footprint)
- 100 × white Chiavari chairs (ceremony rows, then re-staged at reception tables)
- 12 × 5ft round tables for the reception
- 6 × 6ft banquet tables (head, gift, cake, DJ, registration, bar)
- 1 × 12×16 portable dance floor
- 2 × cocktail highboys for the cocktail hour
- Bistro string lighting along the marquee ridge
- Engineered ground stakes paired with ballast (default for foothill grass)
Setup runs 5–6 hours; teardown 3–4. Both quoted up front. For smaller Westminster Abbey-area weddings (often under 80 guests, no dance floor), the order shrinks accordingly. The 50/100/150/200 rental checklist maps the same configuration to your headcount.
