Stanley Park, Queen Elizabeth Park, and VanDusen all run Park Board permit processes for tents above their threshold. Couples pull the permits; we know which ceremony zones at each park accept which marquee footprints. Park installs typically run smaller (20×20 or 20×40) given the protected sightlines.
Rooftop and high-rise installs
Yaletown, downtown, and Mount Pleasant rooftops are common Vancouver tent setups. Three things confirmed up front: freight-elevator dimensions, weight rating, and the building manager’s Saturday availability. Ballast (never stakes), sidewalls year-round.
West End and Kitsilano backyards
Standard backyard pattern: setbacks, slope, sprinkler heads, and where the truck can stop without blocking the alley. Most accept a 20×40 marquee comfortably.

The same in Yaletown as in any neighbourhood we serve. Our 20×40 marquee is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — distance, freight elevator, slope — never the tent rate.
Loft conversions and East Vancouver industrial events
Mount Pleasant and East Van industrial-loft conversions have grown into a steady rhythm of wedding receptions, milestone celebrations, and corporate functions. Most lofts are wired for daytime use, not for dance-floor lighting and DJ infrastructure at midnight; we bundle bistro string lights and (where needed) battery power stations onto the same quote. Loft setups typically skip the marquee entirely (the building is the venue) and run on chairs, tables, and lighting alone.
