Three floor sizes that cover almost every Vancouver wedding and corporate booking:

• 8×8 portable dance floor — up to ~50 guests, smaller backyard receptions, intimate venues. The smallest floor that still feels like a real floor (not a rug).
• 12×12 portable dance floor — the workhorse. 100-guest weddings, most marquee setups, most rooftop installs. The size that suits a 20×60 marquee best.
• 16×16 portable dance floor — 150–200 guests, larger acreage and heritage-venue receptions.
• Edge ramps — included on every floor install where guests step from the surrounding floor onto the dance floor. Trip-hazard safety, not aesthetic.

The floor goes down level. Heels don’t catch panel seams. We don’t ship a floor that bounces under load.

Marquee installs on grass

Most Vancouver tent receptions put the dance floor straight onto the lawn — the 4×4 ft panels are built for outdoor use. Pick the flattest stretch of grass for it; a 12×12 goes down in about 45–60 minutes.

Rooftop installs

Yaletown and downtown rooftops accept dance floors with appropriate weight distribution. Panels at <60 lb each fit nearly every freight elevator. Ballast for any tent component goes up; the floor itself sits flat on the rooftop surface.

Heritage venue receptions

Hart House, Anvil Centre, and other heritage venues with existing flooring accept the dance floor directly with edge ramps. Setup runs about 45–60 minutes for a 12×12.

Per-item pricing

The same in Yaletown as in Kitsilano. Our 12×12 portable dance floor is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — distance and access — never the per-floor rate.

Dance floors on grass

Most Vancouver outdoor receptions put the dance floor on grass. The panels are 4×4 ft interlocking sections built for outdoor use, so they go straight onto the lawn with no subfloor. The one thing to plan for is a flat spot: choose the most level stretch of lawn for the floor, and send us a photo of the site when you book if you’re unsure.

A 100-guest Vancouver dance floor rental order

For a 100-guest Vancouver wedding under marquee on grass, a typical dance floor order looks like:

• 1 × 12×12 portable dance floor (the standard for 100 guests)
• Edge ramps on all four sides
• Crew install (about 45–60 minutes for a 12×12)

For a heritage-venue reception with existing flooring, it’s the same 12×12 and the same 45–60 minute install. For 60–80 guest backyard weddings, swap to a 12×12; for 150–200 guest receptions, a 16×16.
