On the truck for a typical Richmond install:
- 20×20 marquee — Steveston village cocktail hour, supplemental outdoor zone, smaller backyard birthday
- 20×40 marquee — 60–80 guests under one tent
- 20×60 marquee — the workhorse for 100-guest weddings, full ceremony-to-reception coverage
- 30×60 marquee — 150–200 guests, larger Garry Point and Minoru Park setups
- Sidewalls, bistro lighting, heaters, fans as add-ons on the same quote

Garry Point Park and Steveston waterfront
Salt air, afternoon onshore wind, and tight permit setbacks. Stakes plus ballast every time, sidewalls recommended year-round, marquee size adjusted to fit the specific permit zone rather than the nominal headcount. We’ve installed enough Garry Point marquees to know which zones tolerate a 20×60 versus where a 20×40 is the cap.
Olympic Oval and River Rock — large-scale events
Olympic Oval freight access is ample; River Rock and adjacent hotels run on dock-controlled schedules. Most large Richmond galas split into linked marquees rather than one mega-tent for both anchor stability and faster install timing.
Brighouse hotel-grounds and corporate
Hotel-grounds installs at Brighouse properties (Sheraton, Pacific Gateway, etc.) run controlled access via the loading dock. Hardscape footprints mean full ballast every time; sidewalls common to control noise and lighting bleed into hotel rooms.
Hamilton, Thompson, Seafair backyards
Standard backyard pattern: setbacks, sprinkler heads, irrigation runs, and where the truck can stop without blocking the laneway. Richmond lots are flat and large — most Hamilton and Seafair backyards accept a 20×60 comfortably.
Per-item pricing
The same at Garry Point as on a Hamilton acreage. Our 20×40 marquee is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — anchor strategy, after-hours timing, dock coordination — never the tent rate.
Same-day setup and ceremony-to-reception flips
Many Richmond weddings run a single-tent ceremony-to-reception flip — same chairs, same marquee handle both phases, with our crew rearranging the layout in 30–45 minutes during the cocktail hour. A 100-guest Richmond tent rental order
For a 100-guest Richmond wedding — say a Saturday in August at Garry Point Park ceremony and reception under a single tent — a typical tent-side order looks like:
- 1 × 20×60 marquee tent (covered ceremony + reception in single footprint)
- 4 × tent sidewalls (full enclosure for evening — recommended at any waterfront site)
- 8 × bistro string-light strands across the marquee ridge
- 1 × tent heater (October–April bookings; optional in summer evenings off the river)
- Engineered ground stakes plus ballast (default for Garry Point grass; full ballast on Olympic Oval hardscape)
Setup runs 4–5 hours for a 20×60 + sidewall configuration; teardown is 2–3 hours. Both quoted up front. The 50/100/150/200 rental checklist maps the marquee sizing. Garry Point and Steveston weddings rarely book the marquee alone — the chairs, tables, and dance floor come off the rest of our Richmond catalog on the same delivery.
