Birthdays are the most common backyard event we equip, and they come in two distinct shapes: a kids' party that needs shade, seating and something to keep twelve eight-year-olds busy, and a milestone birthday — 30th, 40th, 50th — that's really a small wedding reception with better music requests. We stock both ends from the same Surrey warehouse, so you're not chasing three vendors for one Saturday afternoon.

Kids' birthday party rentals

The kids'-party formula we load onto the truck most weekends: shade, seating sized for mixed adults-and-kids crowds, and a food table that isn't your patio furniture. One or two 10×10 popup tents ($75/day each) cover a snack station and a shaded seating corner — they're also the one tent you can pick up yourself from our warehouse and stand up in fifteen minutes. For seating, resin garden chairs ($5.50/day) wipe clean after cake, and fanback folding chairs ($3.25/day) are the budget workhorse when the guest list balloons. A pair of 6ft banquet tables ($10.95/day) handles food and presents; add a cocktail table ($15.50/day) as a drinks station that keeps juice boxes off the food table.

For entertainment, we don't carry bouncy castles — what we run instead are staffed carnival games: bottle knockdown, balloon darts, ring toss and cup toss at $650 per booth for four hours, with a trained attendant running the game, the prizes and the crowd flow so the parents don't have to. The 2-game bundle ($1,170, save 10%) suits a school-aged crowd of 15–30 kids; the 4-game bundle ($2,210, save 15%) is what schools and community days book. Milestone Birthdays

Adult & milestone birthday rentals

A 40th with sixty guests is structurally a reception: it needs a real tent, dinner seating and somewhere to dance once the speeches end. The 20×20 marquee ($550, crew-installed) seats forty for dinner; step up to a 20×30 ($630) or 20×40 ($1,100) as the list grows. White Chiavari chairs ($8.50/day) are what most milestone parties choose for the dinner look; 5ft round tables ($13.50/day) seat eight each and keep conversation flowing better than long rows.

Two add-ons earn their line item at evening parties. Bistro string lights ($45/day) turn a tent from daytime-functional to evening-good — they're the cheapest upgrade we rent and the most photographed. And the black & white dance floor (from $800, crew-installed) is the difference between people dancing and people standing on grass holding drinks. If the party runs past dusk in spring or fall, a tent heater ($100/day) keeps the older guests from leaving at nine.

How much do birthday party rentals cost?

A 30-guest backyard birthday typically runs about $307 per day in rentals — two 10×10 popup tents, 30 folding chairs, four 6ft banquet tables and a cocktail table. A 60-guest milestone party with a 20×20 marquee, Chiavari chairs, round tables, bistro lights and a dance floor runs around $2,013. Delivery and setup are quoted up front based on your address, and bundling into a package saves 10%.

Can I book birthday rentals the same week as my party?

Often, yes. Chairs, tables and popup tents are usually available on a few days' notice outside peak summer weekends — book online to see live availability, or call 778-990-7983 and we'll check the truck schedule. Marquee installs and staffed carnival games need more lead time because they're crewed; a week or two is the realistic minimum in season.

Can I pick up birthday rentals instead of paying for delivery?

Yes — customer pickup is free from our Surrey warehouse at 9317 188 St. Popup tents, folding chairs and banquet tables all fit a standard SUV or pickup truck. Marquee tents and dance floors are crew-install items, so those are delivery-only.

Do you rent bouncy castles or inflatables?

No — we don't carry inflatables, and we'd rather say so than sub-rent one we can't stand behind. Our alternative for kids' entertainment is staffed carnival games: bottle knockdown, balloon darts, ring toss and cup toss at $650 per booth for 4 hours with a trained attendant included, or bundled 2-game and 4-game packs that save 10–15%.

Can you set up a birthday tent on grass, gravel or a driveway?

Yes to all three. Marquee tents stake down on grass and run ballasted (weighted) on pavement, gravel and stamped concrete. Popup tents come with weight options for hard surfaces. Tell us the surface when you book and we'll send the right hardware. We do not tent on artificial turf.

What happens if it rains or I need to cancel the party?

If you need to reschedule for weather, we roll your deposit to a new date at no charge as long as we're notified before crew dispatch. And our 125% Cancellation Protection means that if we ever cancel your booking, you receive 125% of your deposit back. Customer-initiated cancellations follow our standard deposit terms.

Do birthday rentals come with delivery and setup?

Delivery and setup are available as add-ons and quoted up front with no fuel surcharges — the price you see at checkout is the price you pay. Marquees and dance floors are always crew-installed. Chairs and tables are stacked where you want them, or positioned per your layout if you add setup.
