West Vancouver Event & Party Rentals

West Vancouver is a coastline and a hillside stacked on top of each other. The same Saturday calendar might send our crew to a Whytecliff Park ceremony at low tide, a Dundarave seawall reception that evening, and a British Properties estate the next day with a thousand-foot elevation change between the venues. Each pattern asks a different question of the install — tidal windows at the water's edge, ballast strategy on terraced lawns, and Taylor Way traffic on the climb up to the upper bench. We quote the route and the anchor strategy together, not the rental alone.

Tent, chair, table, dance floor, lighting — one quote, one delivery, one crew. We don't sub-contract the install. The crew that loads your order at the Surrey warehouse is the crew that lays the floor at Ambleside Park.

People searching North Shore party rentals usually mean West Vancouver and North Vancouver together. This page is West Vancouver specifically. The regional hub — Lions Gate vs Ironworkers, Ambleside, Whytecliff, and North Van — is North Shore party rentals.

What our crew brings on the truck

Rows of white ceremony chairs facing a decorated altar with trees and water in the background — a classic North Shore outdoor wedding setting An ocean-side ceremony setup — clean white seating, water, and tree cover.

Same single inventory and crew calendar across the Lower Mainland. A West Vancouver couple gets the catalogue that any other city gets — without short-ships, without sub-rentals from another vendor.

On the truck for a typical West Van event:

  • Marquee tents from 20×20 up to 30×60, weather-rated, with sidewalls and lighting add-ons
  • White Chiavari chairs for receptions, Fanback folding for ceremony rows, Resin Garden chairs for beach and lawn sites
  • 5ft round tables seating 8, plus 6ft and 8ft banquet tables for head, gift, and buffet
  • Portable dance floors in 12×12, 12×16, and 16×20 with subfloor for terraced lawns
  • Bistro lighting, cocktail highboys, linens, and heaters as add-ons on the same quote
  • Doubled anchor kit — ballasted weights paired with engineered stakes for any West Van ocean-edge or mountain-adjacent install

The North Shore doesn’t reward defaults. Our crew adjusts the anchor plan for the specific lot, not the standard package.

Ocean, mountain, and the bench in between

A clean white marquee tent at a backyard wedding with sidewalls open and chairs visible inside A 20×40 marquee staged on a mid-bench West Van lawn.

West Van delivery isn’t North Van delivery. Four operational realities shape the quote.

Bridge crossing and Taylor Way

Lions Gate is the default route to Ambleside, Dundarave, and the lower bench; Ironworkers becomes the better call for British Properties peak-hour deliveries. Taylor Way’s climb to the upper bench is meaningful on a loaded truck — we factor it into the delivery window.

Terraced lawns and irregular grade

The British Properties hillside doesn’t have flat lawns. Every estate setup gets graded before quoting, and the dance floor in particular gets subfloor panels to level the surface. Our backyard tent sizing playbook covers what to measure before you call us.

Tidal windows for beach setups

Whytecliff and Ambleside ceremonies are timed to tide, not just to schedule. The install crew arrives at the low-tide window, finishes before guest arrival, and tears down once the reception has moved away from the waterline.

Ferry traffic at Horseshoe Bay

The Bowen Island and Sunshine Coast sailings shape the road pattern around the terminal. We schedule deliveries around the gaps, not into them.

Per-item pricing

The same on a Caulfeild estate as in a Dundarave waterfront condo’s rooftop. Our 5ft round table is one rate, full stop. The line that changes between bookings is delivery — distance, grade, tide, ferry queue — never the per-item rate.

Whytecliff, Lighthouse Park, and the western edge

The western end of West Vancouver has the most photographed ocean ceremonies on the North Shore — and the most operationally specific install conditions we handle. Whytecliff requires permit-desk coordination with the District of West Vancouver, cart access from the upper lot down to the rocky lower beach, and timing that accounts for the tide cycle and the cellular-dead-spot at the cove. Lighthouse Park is similar in spirit — old-growth canopy, narrow trail access, and small ceremony footprints (under 50 guests is typical). Both venues reward early planning more than any other West Van site we serve.

A 100-guest West Vancouver wedding rental order

For a 100-guest West Van wedding — say a Saturday in August with a Whytecliff Park ceremony followed by a Dundarave waterfront-home reception — a typical order looks like:

  • 1 × 20×60 marquee tent with sidewalls (covered reception on the waterfront lawn)
  • 100 × white Chiavari chairs (ceremony rows on the lower Whytecliff lawn, re-staged at reception tables after the cocktail hour)
  • 12 × 5ft round tables for the reception
  • 6 × 6ft banquet tables (head, gift, cake, DJ, registration, bar)
  • 1 × 12×16 portable dance floor with subfloor panels (most West Van lawns aren’t naturally level)
  • 2 × cocktail highboys for the cocktail hour
  • Bistro string lighting along the marquee ridge
  • Engineered stakes paired with ballast (default for ocean-adjacent installs)

Setup runs 5–6 hours; teardown 3–4. Both quoted up front. For different guest counts, the 50/100/150/200 rental checklist maps the same configuration to your headcount.

Why couples book us a second time

We’re a small enough team that the person who quotes your event is on the truck the morning of. We’re large enough that we own every line item — tent, chair, table, dance floor, lighting — and don’t sub-rent.

212+ five-star Google reviews. One number to call from quote to teardown. A quote you can read top-to-bottom in under a minute. That’s the service.

West Vancouver FAQ

Can your crew handle British Properties driveways?
Most British Properties driveways are within our delivery vehicles' grade tolerance — they're steep but engineered, and laid out for trades access. The harder cases are the older upper-bench lots above Marine Drive where the driveway turns sharply on a narrow apron. For those we either stage at the road and hand-carry, or send a smaller delivery vehicle. We always confirm access during quoting, not on event day.
How do you handle tidal timing for Whytecliff or Ambleside beach setups?
Beach-edge setups need the install timed to the tide chart, not the wedding schedule. For Whytecliff in particular, the cart-access window from the upper parking lot interacts with the high-tide line on the lower beach — we plan setup at low tide and teardown after the reception moves away from the water. Our [Whytecliff Park rental guide](/blog/whytecliff-park-event-rental-guide) covers the operational specifics.
What's the wind plan for Cypress Park and ocean-edge ceremonies?
Two different patterns. Cypress Park elevation brings afternoon mountain wind that's predictable from late morning onward — sidewalls go up year-round, and ballast pairs with stakes at every leg. Ambleside and Whytecliff get inflow wind off Howe Sound that builds through the afternoon; the same anchor strategy applies, plus we recommend a slightly larger marquee than headcount strictly requires so the footprint absorbs gusts rather than catching them.
Can you deliver to Horseshoe Bay around ferry traffic?
Yes — we schedule Horseshoe Bay setups around the BC Ferries departure pattern. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon windows clear the queueing zone; the loading-and-unloading peaks on either side of a sailing aren't ideal for a 20×40 install. We pull your event's ferry schedule when quoting and slot delivery accordingly.
