A 5ft round set for 8 — the West Van estate-reception standard.
Three tables, three jobs. West Van floor plans typically need all three:
- 5ft round tables ($13.50/day, seats 8) — the classic wedding-reception configuration. Eight guests, room for centerpieces, fits two-deep into a 20×40 (6 rounds) or two and a half deep into a 20×60 (12 rounds).
- 6ft rectangular banquet tables ($10.95/day, seats 6–8) — the most versatile SKU. Head tables, gift, cake, DJ, registration, bar, buffet. Under 75 lb so they re-stage quickly mid-event.
- Cocktail highboy tables ($15.50/day, standing) — 42-inch standing-height rounds. The Ambleside seawall and Dundarave waterfront crowds run heavier on highboys than most West Van bookings — pre-dinner cocktail hour on the terrace is the format. Plan ~1 highboy per 10–12 standing guests.
Tables care about access and floor plan. No per-table setup surcharge when delivery is on the quote.
West Van venue patterns and floor-plan staging
Highboys for a Dundarave waterfront pre-dinner hour.
British Properties estate receptions
Terraced lawns and irregular grade. Round tables get levelled during the staging window; we shim where the slope is mild and lay subfloor panels where it isn’t. Most estate receptions run 100–150 guests on 12–18 rounds.
Ambleside and Dundarave waterfront
Heavier cocktail-hour configurations than other West Van venues. The seawall and waterfront-home decks reward a longer mingling phase before dinner, which means 4–6 highboys for a 100-guest booking rather than the standard 2–3. The 8ft banquet works for the buffet but not always for the head table — sightlines matter when the ocean’s behind you.
Horseshoe Bay restaurants and waterfront homes
Narrow service entrances and ferry-timed deliveries. The 6ft banquet at <75 lb fits through nearly every restaurant service door; the 8ft is occasionally tight. We confirm access dimensions during quoting.
Park Royal corporate
Office plaza and mid-rise venues with controlled freight elevators. Smaller cocktail-driven configurations than estate receptions; highboys and 6ft banquets for registration drive most quotes.
Per-item pricing
The same on the Ambleside seawall as in British Properties. Our 5ft round table is one rate, full stop. What changes is delivery — bridge timing, terraced-lawn levelling, ferry queue — never the per-table rate.
Salt-air and waterfront table considerations
The single venue-specific note we share with West Van waterfront bookings: salt-air exposure accelerates linen aging if the reception runs all day in direct ocean breeze. Our linen partners recommend the heavier polyester blends rather than the lighter cotton-touch lines for exposed Ambleside and Dundarave bookings — they hold up better through a five-hour reception in salt spray. Indoors and inland (British Properties, Caulfeild interior, Park Royal) the lighter linens are fine. We flag this in the quote when the venue is a waterfront site.
A 100-guest West Vancouver table rental order
For a 100-guest West Van wedding with a British Properties estate reception (the most common West Van pattern), a typical table-side order looks like:
- 12 × 5ft round tables (96 dinner guests at 8 per round, with 2 extras for kids and overflow)
- 6 × 6ft banquet tables (head linking 2, gift, cake, DJ, registration)
- 2 × 6ft banquet tables for the buffet line
- 3 × cocktail highboys for the pre-dinner hour on the terrace
For a Dundarave or Ambleside waterfront reception, swap to 4–5 highboys for a longer cocktail phase. For other guest counts, the 50/100/150/200 rental checklist maps the table mix to your headcount.
