The Friday-Saturday-Sunday destination rotation

A Harrison Hot Springs marquee is structurally identical to a Lower Mainland marquee. What changes is the install rotation:
- Friday afternoon: install crew arrives via the 2-hour Highway 1/Highway 7 corridor. Marquee up by end-of-day. Anchored for overnight wind exposure.
- Saturday morning: chair and table layout, lighting strands, final floor-plan refinement.
- Saturday event.
- Sunday morning: teardown crew runs the corridor again. Equipment back at the Surrey warehouse before late-Sunday traffic.
This is the same long-haul template we use for Chilliwack (90 minutes) and the deepest Mission (75 minutes) installs, scaled up to the 2-hour Harrison corridor. The destination booking absorbs the extra crew time on a single overnight rather than two same-day runs.
Harrison Hot Springs Resort — the destination core
The Resort drives most of the destination marquee calendar. Most Resort installs are 20×60 marquees on the outdoor courtyards or adjacent grounds. We coordinate the install window with the Resort’s events team during quoting; the Resort’s loading-dock access is ample and they’re familiar with vendor-coordinated install patterns.
Standard Resort install:
- 20×60 marquee on the Resort’s outdoor space
- Sidewalls year-round (the lakefront breeze reaches the Resort grounds reliably)
- Bistro string lighting along the ridge
- Tent heater October–April (Harrison Lake-adjacent installs run cooler than the Lower Mainland average)
Lakeshore residences — lake-and-mountain backdrop installs
Lakeshore residence weddings drive the upscale Harrison destination calendar. Most are 100–150 guests with a 20×60 marquee on the residence lawn, oriented to frame the lake-and-mountain backdrop. The Harrison Lake afternoon onshore breeze shapes the anchor strategy — stakes plus supplemental ballast at the lake-facing corners, sidewalls year-round.
Harrison Mills heritage residential
Harrison Mills’ heritage residential streets are tighter than the Lakeshore residences — shorter delivery windows, pre-stage close to the property line. Most heritage backyards accept a 20×40 marquee comfortably; the larger heritage lots accommodate a 20×60.
Sasquatch Provincial Park
Sasquatch Park’s forest ceremony zones run on park-permit windows. Most accept 20×20 cocktail-style ceremony marquees only; full reception tents rarely fit the permitted setbacks. The standard pattern: ceremony marquee at Sasquatch (or chairs-only under canopy with no marquee), reception marquee at the Resort or a Lakeshore residence.
Harrison Beach edge and lakeshore community
Harrison Beach itself doesn’t typically accept marquee installs — beach sand and tight permit setbacks make full ballast impractical at the beach-permit scale. Beach-edge residential lots adjacent to the public beach can accept a 20×40 marquee where the residence lawn extends close to the shoreline.
A 100-guest Harrison Hot Springs tent rental order
For a 100-guest Harrison destination wedding — say a Saturday in August with ceremony at Harrison Beach lakefront (chairs only) followed by a Resort reception under marquee — a typical tent-side order looks like:
- 1 × 20×60 marquee tent at the Resort reception venue (Harrison Beach ceremony is chairs-only on the public beach)
- 4 × tent sidewalls (full enclosure year-round on Harrison installs)
- 8 × bistro string-light strands across the marquee ridge
- 1 × tent heater (October–April default; recommended on summer Harrison evenings given the lake-adjacent cool-down)
- Engineered ground stakes (default for the Resort’s outdoor grounds; supplemental ballast on lake-facing corners at Lakeshore residences)
Setup runs 5–6 hours for a 20×60 + sidewall configuration; teardown is 3–4 hours. Both quoted up front. The 50/100/150/200 rental checklist maps the marquee sizing to your headcount.
