01How many tables for 50 guests
Wedding seating at 8 per table: 7 × 5ft rounds or 7 × 6ft banquets. Corporate packages seat 6 per 6ft banquet, which would raise the banquet count. We also add a 10% chair spare; tables stay at the seated math.
- 7 tables for 50 guests at the wedding default of 8 seats.
- 5ft round $13.50/day · 6ft banquet $10.95/day · 8ft banquet $14.95/day · highboy $15.50/day.
- Chair spare is 10%; do not apply the same spare to tables.
- Draw it on the layout planner before you pay.
02Rounds vs banquet vs highboys
Rounds talk better. Banquets fit a narrow 20-foot marquee aisle. Highboys are for the hour between ceremony and dinner — they do not replace dinner tables. A 20×40 with 7 rounds is tight once you add a 12×12 dance floor; that is why 50-guest Covered packages pick the tent they pick.
This page is guest-count math, not “how many people fit at one 6ft table.” That lander already ranks at /how-many-people-fit-at-a-6ft-rectangular-table.
Worked example: 50 guests ÷ 8 seats = 6.25. Round up to 7. Corporate seating at 6 per 6ft banquet would be 50 ÷ 6 = 8.3, which is more tables, not fewer.
03What we actually put on the order
Look at the 50-guest wedding package for the itemised list. Linens are quoted with the tables (120 inch floor-length on a 5ft round; 90×132 on a 6ft banquet). Skip 54×108 toppers and 90 inch rounds — they look short on our tables.

05Field notes from the warehouse
On a 50-guest Covered wedding we put down seven 5ft rounds and 55 fanbacks. That is not a suggestion — it is the line on the 50-guest package. Corporate 50-guest packages use 6ft banquets at six seats, which is more tables if you insist on the six-pack seating.
A 20×40 has room for those seven rounds plus a buffet. A 20×20 does not, which is why backyard 50-guest dinners that also want a dance floor jump a size.
Seven rounds × $13.50 = $94.50. Seven 6ft banquets × $10.95 = $76.65. Essentials (tables + chairs, 10% off) is $246 for this guest count. Delivery from $175 is extra either way.
Linens are quoted with the tables. 120 inch floor-length on the rounds; 90×132 on the 6ft. Cocktail spandex is the only linen with a public SKU price ($15).
Ordering six tables 'because 50 ÷ 8 is 6.25 and we will squeeze' is how two guests eat at the gift table. Round up. Always.
The other miss: applying the 10% chair spare to tables. We send 55 chairs and 7 tables, not 8 tables.
A real hold, not a “from” price: seven 5ft rounds on the 50-guest wedding package is $94.50 CAD before tax on the published list. Twenty-five percent is $23.62 in RentKit the day you book. Balance $70.88 before pickup at 9317 188 St or before the truck leaves. Delivery, when you want it, starts at $175 and is quoted to the pin so Vancouver and Harrison are not a 7 AM surprise.
Seven rounds × $13.50 is $94.50 before the 10% bundle. Seven 6ft banquets × $10.95 is $76.65. Essentials (those tables plus 55 fanbacks) is $246 already 10% off. Covered adds the 20×40 and lands at $1,236. Corporate 50-guest packages seat six per 6ft, which is more tables, not fewer — do not copy the wedding count onto a six-pack layout.
The 10% chair spare is 55 chairs, not an eighth table. Linens are quoted with the tops: 120 inch floor-length on the rounds, 90×132 on the 6ft. A 20×20 does not fit seven rounds plus a buffet; that is why backyard 50-guest dinners that also want a dance floor jump to the 20×40.
